Day 17 What’s Calamay?

Hi! Today is Day 17 out of 1000 days blog challenge.

My mother received from her tenant a few days ago a delicacy from the Ilocos province of the Philippines. By the way, I don’t know which Ilocos if it is Sur or Norte.

And this delicacy is called Calamay.

It is very thin with hugh chunks of what I think is coconut flesh. It generally taste sweet. The rest of the ingredient is like agar or gelatin and I DON’T KNOW.

If you happen to be an Ilocano, please do tell me what Calamay means in the comments down below.
