Day 203 What Jesus Said: A Window of the Spoken Word in the Gospel of John

Hi there!

So this is the final leg of my blog post series ot “What Jesus Said: A Window of the Spoken Word in the Gospel of ______”.

If you haven’t read my previous blog posts from the Gospel of Matthew up until the Gospel of Luke, read it here 👇🏻:

Alright, the Gospel of John is unique in its own right. It didn’t have any missing verses! (Yay! Atlast!) It doesn’t have much parables. But the author recounted the important sayings of Lord Jesus Christ which became the foundational verses of a born again Christian!

Did you know that out of 879 verses, there are 419 verses which refer to Lord Jesus Christ’s sayings. That is 47.7% out of all the verses in the Gospel of John. It’s not as much as the previous Gospels but this would rank 2nd to the last.

Like in the Gospel of Luke, I had a hard time choosing my top 10 favorite verses of Lord Jesus Christ’s sayings in the Gospel of John. But I need to just pick 10, so here it is anyway:

  1. John 3:3
  2. John 3:16
  3. John 10:10
  4. John 20:27
  5. John 3:21
  6. John 4:23
  7. John 5:14
  8. John 6:12
  9. John 8:58
  10. John 14:1

So this is not the end of me studying the sayings of Lord Jesus Christ. What I did for my blog posts encourage me to study further the sayings of Lord Jesus Christ even if to the point of memorizing them bit by bit if I can.

I urge you people, draw strength from the very words of Lord Jesus Christ because they truly give life. You can get to experience love, peace of mind, strength and even healing!

Have a nice day!
